An award-winning screenwriter and producer of short films, Richard left a career in academia to start writing for BBC radio, television and theatre. Latterly focusing on film, his shorts have been selected for numerous festivals and won multiple awards, including at the prestigious Aspen, Seattle and Palm Springs festivals, later gaining cinematic release and selling to streaming services.
